Paradise on Earth

Few places earn the title "Paradise on Earth" — Kashmir wears it without apology. Snow‑capped Himalayan peaks cradle valleys of apple orchards and saffron fields, while mirror‑still lakes float wooden houseboats and Shikaras through gardens planted by Mughal emperors centuries ago.

This handcrafted itinerary threads together the valley's signature moments — the gondola ride at Gulmarg, the houseboat night on Dal Lake, the pine‑scented trails of Pahalgam — paced gently so each landscape can settle in.

  • Mughal gardens & Dal Lake
  • Gulmarg gondola & snow meadows
  • Traditional houseboat stay
  • Pahalgam's valley of shepherds

Frequently Asked Questions

April to October offers pleasant weather with blooming tulips (April), lush green meadows (May–June) and golden autumn leaves (September–October). Winter (December–February) is ideal for snow experiences in Gulmarg and Sonamarg, but temperatures drop sharply and some roads may close during heavy snowfall.
The Gondola ride is an optional add‑on and tickets are payable on site. We highly recommend pre‑booking at least 2 weeks in advance as tickets sell out quickly, especially in peak season. Our team can assist with the booking process.
Layered clothing is key — even summer days at Gulmarg (2,700m) can feel chilly. Bring a warm jacket, comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen. In winter, pack thermals, gloves, a wool hat and waterproof boots. Carry a power bank for long scenic drives.
Yes — our houseboats are traditional carved cedar boats with modern amenities including ensuite bathrooms, hot water, plush bedding and home‑cooked Kashmiri meals served on deck. It's one of the most authentic experiences in Kashmir and a highlight for most travellers.
Absolutely. We can swap Gulmarg for Sonamarg, extend your stay with a night in Yusmarg or Doodhpathri, add the Amarnath Yatra trek, arrange a Kashmiri cooking class, or include a shopping tour for pashmina shawls and papier‑mâché crafts. Just share your preferences.
